The Snowy Mountains, known informally as "The Snowies", contain the five highest peaks on the Australian mainland, all above 2100 metres. Outside the ski season, these mountains provide their own special charm, boasting some of Australia's most spectacular and wild scenery.

During this program participants will experience the unique alpine environment surrounding the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre, which is set on 87 hectares of high alpine country on the doorstep of the Kosciusko National Park and Lake Jindabyne.

The aim of this program is to have fun, learn new skills and appreciate the beauty of the natural world in the company of young adventures. We combine fantastic mountain walks with visits to high country attractions and the opportunity to participate in outdoor recreational activities. Escape and spend quality time together, creating lifelong memories.

Odyssey Travel is proud to offer intergenerational "Grand" programs. Participants can join in a learning ed-venture with their grandchildren and other young relatives or friends. This type of program provides an opportunity for participants to experience Odyssey's "travel and learn for fun" philosophy with the younger generation, creating lifelong memories. A program/study leader will work with the children as well as the adults. However, Odyssey expects the responsible adult to be the primary supervisor of the younger participants in his/her charge.

These intergenerational programs are for active adults and young learners aged 7-15.

Itinerary at a Glance / Site & # Nights
Program commences in Jindabyne, Day 1 - Cookout, Day 2 - NPWS presentation and field trip, Gaden Trout Hatchery & Tubing, Day 3 - Mt Kosciusko Summit walk & Archery, Day 4 - Snowy Mountain Scheme & Canoeing, Day 5 - Rope course & free time, Day 6 - Orienteering. Program concludes in Jindabyne.

Program Includes:

• 5 nights motel-style accommodation in twin share, ensuited rooms.
• All meals.
